SUNFLOWERS, MILK & HONEY

MILK & HONEY. It was after I got stuck reading about Rupi and her beautiful poems and short texts, that I decided that I needed to put my hands on one of her copies. I love her way of writing, and the way she can put words into becoming these emotions that usually lie so deep within us. The book is a gift to Aaleyah – and even if she’s years away from being able to read and understand these beautiful pieces herself now, there will be a day when she will find meaning in them. Most of all, I like the part of the book where her poems and texts talk about loving yourself and knowing that you’re enough the way you are; that you should never lose the You in you for someone else or because others don’t want to see the true you.

Stay humble. Know your worth. Be kind. Always.
